9th Annual Black Tie and Blue Jeans Gala


In DeLand, Florida we know how to get down to business and have fun at the same. Now, how do you display that in dress form? Well, by having a Black Tie and Blue Jeans Gala, OF COURSE! Raising money to benefit grieving families who have experienced the greatest loss of all is no small effort. The DeLand Rotary took this on this year as they have in years past, with great passion and excellence, all for the benefit of these families.

The 9th Annual Black Tie and Blue Jeans Gala was a night full of Music, Dining, and Fun all to support Begin Again Childrens Grief Center of DeLand. The Rotary Club of Downtown De Land transformed the Artisan Alley Garage into a beautifully themed event! Charitable people with compassionate hearts are the pillars of our strong community. #WeAreHappyDeLand #SupportLocal

Caring Hearts and Generous Hands

The Artisan Alley Garage was fully overhauled in an elegant Mardi Gras theme for a fantastic night of dancing, mingling and most importantly raising money! The funding from the Black Tie & Blue Jeans Gala is the primary source of funding for the Rotary Club of Downtown DeLand, funding that goes to very worthy local causes. The majority of the net funds raised go to BeginAgain Children’s Grief Center (BeginAgain councels children, often very young children, through traumatic experiences like the loss of a parent), which helps to provide most of the funds needed for supplies and other essentials for the DeLand center.

The Premier Sponsor for this event was Halifax Health Hospice, not only did they offer up roughly 10 volunteers, but they also assisted in the planning and promotion to ensure success.

With over 250+ tickets sold, this was a successful and heartfelt event.
